DHS Waiting Child...
Today I found the new website for Oklahoma's Waiting Child. I have been sitting here for about an hour staring at Elmer, tears streaming down my face. He is the waiting child of the month. He is beautiful. I am wondering when he will find his family. HERE is a link to the website. Take a look at Elmer....I can't stop looking at him! I also found a neat "thing" we have here in Oklahoma. Just wanted to thank you for this blog! I stumbled across it tonight, and it is very helpful. My husband and I are in the beginning stages of adopting from Oklahoma DHS! We are "young marrieds" I guess you could say. :) We are adopting first, and also hope to have a baby at some point as well. We are excited to begin the journey...as soon as we heard that if just one family in each church in the U.S. would adopt one child, there would be no more orphans... I kept asking myself the reasons "Why not?" There were none. God is always at work even when we think we have our own plan! He is so good!
